Qualifications:

Minimum of 5 year(s) of experience OR HS/GED Degree

  • Enrollee should have: 1) Excellent skills in communications including principles of ?Good Host? program to effectively meet and great Forest visitors, 2) Basic knowledge of forest recreation polices and resource management practices to provide information to visitors. 3)Ability to learn computer applications for checking and selling reservations to the public through rec.gov.
  • Experience required with Windows, Apple Macintosh, MS Word
Duties:

The enrollee will be a resource to improve capacity with an experienced skill set in recreation to assist with visitor information. The enrollee with assist other district recreation staff with the operations at the Welcome Station at the Mount Evans Recreation Area.

  • Provides visitors with detailed information of the area, ticket requirements, local area information, ecological and wilderness information.   50%
  • Serves as Collection Officer for the unit, responsible for selling timed entry tickets through the government web-based platform in accordance with manual and handbook requirements.   50%

  • Annual government computer information and security awareness training
