Qualifications:Minimum of 10 year(s) of experience in Section 7 consultation and NEPA OR BA/BS Degree in Biological sciences OR Previously completed training in Section 7 Consultation - Experience required with Windows, MS Word, MS Excel, ARCVIEW (GIS)

Duties:Prepare biological assessments for the Greater sage-grouse amendments and for the Proposed mineral withdrawal in Sagebrush Focal Areas. Building on those documents, complete Section 7 consultation with U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service for both efforts. The applicant may also be asked to assist in limited NEPA work supporting both efforts. - Preparation of Biological Assessment for GRSG plan amendments 35%
- Preparation of Biological Assessment for Mineral Withdrawal in SFAs 35%
- Consultation with U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service on both projects 20%
- Assist with NEPA projects for both efforts as needed 10%
Other:- Advanced ARC GIS and other training as needed
- Travel Requirements: One to two meetings to meet in person with HQ230 staff and FWS staff.
- Overnight travel: Once or twice during the period of employment.
- Air travel anticipated: Once or twice during the period of employment.
- Rental cars: Once or twice during the period of employment.
- Physical requirements: This position will primarily be computer work in an office setting.
- Remote work arrangements are available for this position.
