Qualifications:

Minimum of 10 year(s) of experience in Project Management. OR BA/BS Degree in Business Administration/Management or a related field.

  • Project Management Institute (PMI) Project Management Professional (PMP) or similar certification.
  • Experience working with AGILE and SCRUM methodologies.
  • Must possess and exhibit superior communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills to effectively interact with a wide range of staff.
  • Able to multitask and manage competing priorities with accelerated deadlines.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office.
  • Demonstrates excellent planning and time management skills.
  • Demonstrates excellent leadership abilities.
  • Analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Experience required with MS Word, MS Excel, Power Point
  • MS Project
Duties:

NASS is undergoing several modernization efforts for its business processes. NASS has five (5) enterprise level projects in support of modernization. Senior Project Manager tasks include managing several projects at once with competing priorities and accelerated timetables, advises junior project managers, providing executive summaries to team members and senior leadership, conducting status review meetings, and managing the project?s tasks, resources, risks, budget, scope, schedule, and conflicts.

  • Create a Project Management Plan to include project scope, schedule, stakeholders, communications, risk, quality, budget, and requirements management plan while incorporating the fundamentals of the most current version of Project Management Institute?s (PMI) A Guide to the Project Management Body of Knowledge (PMBOK) for the modernization efforts of NASS?s enterprise system.   20%
  • Ensure that team members complete tasks according to the project scope, schedule, and budget.   20%
  • Monitors deliverables and ensures timely completion of project.   20%
  • Prepare progress reports for stakeholders and executive team members.   10%
  • Identifies and manages issues and risks, including the escalation to stakeholders and executive team members as required.   10%
  • Serves as a liaison between stakeholders and users and manages competing resources and priorities.   10%
  • Identifies if staff members require additional project management training, coaching, and/or guidance, and provide this training, coaching, and/or guidance.   10%

Other:
  • Overnight travel: One time per quarter.
  • Air travel anticipated: One time per quarter.
  • Remote work arrangements are available for this position.
