These experienced professionals provide administrative expertise, facilities management, natural and cultural resource planning, and a broad array of other professional skills that support the National Park Service through the Experienced Services Program (ESP).

Qualifications:

MA/MS Degree in Engineering, Project and Construction Management with minimum additional experience of 15 year(s) in Project Management

  • Knowledge of project management, design, and construction practices including applicable building codes, transportation regulations, applicable safety regulations, cost breakdown estimating and negotiating, and technical writing.
  • Experience required with Windows, MS Word, MS Excel, MS Teams, MS Outlook, Adobe Acrobat
  • AutoCAD (or equivalent), MS Project (or equivalent)
Duties:

Provide engineering and construction management support for four major construction projects within Crater Lake National Park.

  • Project Representation & Communication - Act as NPS point of contact for FHWA-led and concessionaire-led projects. Maintain daily communication with contractors, FHWA, concessionaire teams, and NPS leadership. Facilitate meetings and coordinate with stakeholders.   10%
  • On-Site Oversight & Issue Resolution - Provide proactive field presence to monitor construction activities. Identify potential risks or conflicts and propose solutions. Ensure adherence to safety protocols and environmental standards.   5%
  • Documentation & Reporting- Maintain reports, photo records, and field documentation. Track progress for project milestones. Prepare background documents to support NPS requests for potential contract modifications.   20%
  • Inspection & Closeout ? Attend and document inspections (beneficial occupancy, substantial completion, final acceptance) on behalf of the NPS. Ensure NPS punch list items are included and completed by contracting agencies. Support project closeout activities and verify completion of all work.   5%
  • General Engineering Support - Support early project development by helping scope needs and review concepts. Assist with gathering background data, identifying constraints, and refining project objectives. Contribute to drafting or updating PMIS project statements, developing preliminary estimates, and preparing supporting documentation.   60%

  • Required Safety Gear: Appropriate PPE such as hard hats, safety vests, will be provided by NPS if construction site visits are necessary.
