NEW Solutions connects experienced workers (ages 55+) with the Bureau of Land Management (BLM). These experienced professionals provide administrative, scientific, technical, and other professional skills that support the Bureau of Land Management through the Experienced Services Program (ESP). Positions listed here do not guarantee employment for any definite period. Enrollment in the Experienced Worker Programs administered by NEW Solutions is temporary. The enrollment relationship between NEW Solutions and the Enrollee is an ?at-will? relationship. This means that an Enrollee is free to terminate enrollment at any time during the enrollment period, and NEW Solutions and the Agency have the right to terminate the relationship with the Enrollee. PLEASE NOTE: An ?Enrollee? is not a federal employee, nor an employee of NEW Solutions. An ?Enrollee? is a participant in a grant program established through a Cooperative Agreement funded by the agency and administered by NEW Solutions. Qualifications:HS/GED Degree with minimum additional experience of 3 year(s) in Federal Mining claim administration and adjudication - Experience required with Windows, MS Word, MS Excel, MS Teams, MS SharePoint
Duties:This project will facilitate the timely processing and adjudication of backlogged work for mining claims, quit claim deeds, small miner's waivers, annual maintenance fees, notices of intent to locate (NOITL), processing mining claim forfeiture letters, and answering calls from the public. Training of new full-time BLM employees is also included in the scope of this project. This work will also facilitate the efficient processing of mining claims for critical minerals as outlined in Presidential Memorandum-"Simplifying the Funding of Energy Infrastructure and Critical Mineral and Material Projects." - Process Annual maintenance fees and small miner waivers 40%
