These experienced professionals provide administrative expertise, facilities management, natural and cultural resource planning, and a broad array of other professional skills that support the National Park Service through the Experienced Services Program (ESP). The enrollment relationship between NEW Solutions and the Enrollee is an ?at-will? relationship. This means that an Enrollee is free to terminate enrollment at any time during the enrollment period, and NEW Solutions and the Agency have the right to terminate the relationship with the Enrollee. Qualifications:BA/BS Degree in Landscape Architecture, Historic Preservation, Geographic Information Systems (GIS) or related with minimum additional experience of 10 year(s) in cultural landscape management, historical landscape architecture, cultural resources, historic preservation, site planning and design, Geographic Information Systems, and Adobe Suite (InDesign, Photoshop). - Experience with ArcGIS Pro and Adobe Creative Suite are required.

Duties:The Cultural Landscape Specialist will support the Intermountain Region?s Historic Preservation Services Program with expertise in GIS analysis, cartographic design, and historic resource documentation for a variety of projects, with a particular focus on cultural landscapes. Tasks include: Support for historic preservation projects through GIS analysis; cartographic design; historic resource documentation; and treatment recommendations. The enrolleee will also assist with the completion of condition assessments, research, and writing related to historic properties. Some work can be performed in support of other related cultural resource disciplines and projects. - Enrollee will work with NPS staff in developing and GIS data and cartographic designs for historic preservation projects, with a particular focus on cultural landscapes. This will include data collection, site plan and schematic design creation, and general graphic support. 70%
- Enrollee will assist in the development of baseline documents, including Cultural Landscape Reports, through participation in remote and in-person (as needed) meetings, sharing with project teams relevant materials and information and providing assistance on document review. 20%
- Enrollee will perform other duties as assigned 10%
Other:- Overnight travel: Occasional travel may be required, potentially 1-3 nights over the course of the project
- Health and Safety Considerations: Guidance and training will be provided on-site to ensure that enrollee is fully aware of health and safety considerations (every site is different and will involve different safety precautions and equipment).
- Required Safety Gear: PPE may include, but is not limited to hard hats, face masks, gloves, safety glasses, and other gear necessary to ensure that the enrollee is prepared to work in varied environments.
