Qualifications:

Minimum of 7 year(s) of experience in office administration, grants and agreements OR BA/BS Degree in No specific degree required

  • Knowledge of DOI, NPS, and Cultural Resources programs and initiatives preferred.
  • Experience required with Windows, MS Word, MS Excel, Power Point
  • Adobe Acrobat; MS Teams, Outlook, Sharepoint, familiarity with operating database systems
Duties:

The State, Tribal, and Local Plans and Grants Division (STLPG) directs and coordinates the Historic Preservation Fund (HPF) grant programs authorized by the National Historic Preservation Act. Working with 1 or 2 other Program Assistants, enrollee will share administrative and communications support responsibilities for STLPG. Enrollee will provide a variety of technical and administrative support for the Division, the Federal Preservation Partnership Program, and the Historic Preservation Fund grant programs. This includes working with all grant programs and processes for management from cradle to grave, including application, evaluation, selection, award, monitoring, and closeout. The enrollee will assist the division chief in ensuring that grant recipients are in compliance with the federal laws, Executive Orders, OMB circulars, and departmental regulations applicable to the HPF grant programs.

  • Assists with administration of multiple grant programs to include assisting with notifications, intake review, award, monitoring, and closeout multiple times throughout the year.   35%
  • Maintain grant project files in the Division, ensuring that they are properly organized and stored and that information is readily available to staff.   10%
  • Assist in the development, implementation, and maintenance of existing and future information management and business management systems to support the Division.   10%
  • Maintain the Division?s databases used to track grant project activities, CLGs, mailing lists, and State, Tribal, and Local government partners.   10%
  • Provides effective internal/external communication and public outreach. Serves as lead for STLPG voicemail and email, assists in outreach and communications, and drafts official correspondence. Facilitates internal and external communication for the division and assists the Chief with various special projects as needed.   35%

  • Physical requirements: Job is primarily sedentary and performed at a computer.
