Qualifications:

Minimum of 20 year(s) of experience in conducting micrometeorological measurements on agricultural production systems. OR PhD Degree in Micrometeorology; Ecology; Agronomy

  • Ability to operate and maintain an open-path gas analyzer, 3-dimensional sonic anemometer, and associated instruments deployed using eddy covariance techniques. Ability to conduct QA/QC on collected data. Ability to manage large datasets.
  • Experience required with Windows, MS Word, MS Excel, Power Point
  • EddyPro software
Duties:

Provide oversight for continuous data collection of carbon, water, and heat fluxes from two NP-LTAR eddy covariance stations and manage collected data in a manner consistent with established protocols. Working in an outdoor environment; some lifting of items up to 50 lbs.   • Oversee collection of real-time data from two eddy covariance stations.   40%
  • Maintain field equipment, including replacement and/or calibration of instruments.   20%
  • Collect above ground biomass and remote sensing data from LTAR field and plot-scale sites as necessary.   20%
  • Manage collected data following established protocols.   20%

Other:
  • Training will be provided as necessary.
  • Health and Safety Considerations: Safety training for using field equipment will be provided by safety staff on-site.
